In this Dhamma talk, Ajahn Brahm reveals that how we relate to joy and happiness is no ordinary matter. We might overlook the good times, perhaps not fully experiencing them or failing to allow ourselves to really enjoy them. What’s more, we may cling to feelings of delight in ways that create suffering both in the present and future. How can we cultivate pleasant feelings, pay wise attention to them and allow them to pass in ways that uplift the mind?

This evening programme will begin with a short guided meditation, followed by a Dhamma talk from Ajahn Brahm. After the talk there will be an opportunity to ask questions.

Please arrive half an hour before the starting time at 6:45 pm in order to register and settle in quietly.

We kindly ask that you do not contact the venue.

Health and community care: Please do not attend if you feel ill (e.g. if you have any symptoms of Covid or any other viral infections).

Note:

1. After your registration, you will receive an email with your Ticket/Booking Confirmation almost immediately. Please check your junk mail box if you do not receive it. You can also add our email address bookings@anukampaproject.org as a contact to prevent emails from us going into the junk folder.

2. If you do not receive your ticket within an hour, please contact us at bookings@anukampaproject.org. Please therefore contact us from a Gmail, Hotmail or Outlook email account where at all possible, to save disappointment.

PLEASE NOTE THIS BOOKING IS NOT REFUNDABLE.

All ticket proceeds go toward covering venue hire and other arrangements. Any excess will go toward general running cost of Britain’s first monastery for women, Anukampa Grove Bhikkhuni Monastery.
