But why should we be patient? Shouldn’t we try to get out of suffering as fast as possible? However\, the Buddha also described the process of awakening (and meditation) as an impersonal process of cause and effect. It is in the context of the Buddha’s profound teachings on non-self that the true power of patience can be understood. Drawing on the teachings of the Buddha as well as his own extensive meditation experience\, Ajahn Brahmali will explain how we can harness the power of patience to propel us on the Path.\n\nThis evening programme will begin with a short guided meditation\, followed by a Dhamma talk by Ajahn Brahmali.
